Alberta Government Regulating Home Inspectors

As of September 1st/2011 home inspectors in Alberta will require a license from the province of Alberta, CMI (Certified Master Inspectors) and RHI Registered Home Inspectors will qualify for this license. The Alberta Government has recognized both NACHI International Association of Certified Home Inspectors and CAHPI Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors. This will level the playing field for home inspectors province wide. Inspectors will also have to post a security, carry adequate E & O Insurance, and follow new regulations.
This is a GREAT thing for Consumers and Home Buyers throughout Alberta.
